It's the return of "It Came From New York"—as part of "I'm Tawkin' Here: Storytelling with a New Yawk Accent"—a collaboration with documentary filmmaker Heather Quinlan and Bridget Bartolini of the "Five Boro Story Project".
We're traveling through NYC this spring on five consecutive Wednesdays with one event in each borough, featuring a musical ode, true stories from three borough-natives and one “Token” (non-native storyteller), plus a sneak peek of “If These Knishes Could Talk,” the definitive documentary on the New York accent, premiering at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival in mid-May.
Co-curated and hosted by "Fish Out Of Agua" author / storyteller Michele Carlo. All events are free and open to the public (donations encouraged and appreciated).
